Dear Miz Guided,
I have a lovable dog that I’ve had for seven years. I just adore her but she doesn’t like my new boyfriend.
Whenever he’s over, Belle, my usually sweet pooch, growls and becomes very protective of me. She has even
snapped at him. Belle’s never behaved this way with anyone before. My boyfriend says she’s getting old and
vicious, and that maybe I should put her down. I told him I could never do that! Now my boyfriend says it’s either
him or Belle! What can I do?

My oh my, what can you do? Keep the arrogant boyfriend or the faithful lovable Belle? You know, darling, animals
are very sensitive to our feelings. Some are even quite psychic like my cat, Sebastian. I believe Belle has picked
up on the fact that your boyfriend’s intentions towards you are not honorable. The man suggesting that you kill
your darling pup certainly speaks volumes about his character. I say hug sweet Belle and put the boyfriend
down…kick him to the curb!

I’ve lived in a haunted old brownstone in New York City for five years. I was told in advance that it was haunted,
however I didn’t believe in ghosts and the rent was low (for Manhattan). I grabbed it and discovered I did indeed
have a ghost! At first my ghost would blow into my face as I was falling asleep or move things around. Then he
showed himself to me; a middle age gentleman in a threadbare gray suit. I was told by my landlord that the
ghost was a wealthy accountant who was so frugal that his wife and children weren’t allowed the basic
necessities let alone any luxuries. Fed up, his wife finally poisoned him. Over the years my ghost and I have
learned to coexist. The problem I’m having is that I’m moving and every time I pack something I wake up to find
the items back in their original places. It’s as if Edward (my ghost) doesn’t want me to leave. My greatest fear is
that he will move with me. Can you contact him for me and tell him I must move and he can’t come with me?

I went into a midnight trance and located your Edward. It seems he has grown quite fond of you. You are the only
person who has ever bothered to address him. He enjoyed hearing about your corporate dealings and holds a
particular affection for a large bottomed female you are dating. Anyway, darling, fear not, Edward has gone on to
his rewards. He scurried off into the light when I mentioned he’d have to share the rent with you or the next
tenant.
